Will A Non-Pull Dog Harness Stop Your Dog Pulling?

If you’ve got a dog that is a bit of a handful a Non-Pull Harnesses might be just what you need.

Non-Pull Dog Harnesses are usually made from a soft but sturdy nylon webbing material with a mesh chest piece which means it is extremely comfortable for your dog. Nothing hard or rough to cause him or her discomfort or injury.

Because they tend to gently tighten and lift the dog they are very effective at giving the dog-walker much more control over the dog.

Some breeds of dogs just do not respond to their owners attempts to have them walk nicely regardless of what type of conventional collar is fitted.

Speaking from my personal experience I must admit I was a little dubious about just how effective these harnesses could possibly be.

Surely with a harness around the dog’s chest it could only pull against the lead even harder, couldn’t it?

They don’t cost a great deal so I decided to ‘bite the bullet’ and order one – even though I

wasn’t convinced.

But my doubts were soon proved to be groundless once I had fitted the Non Pull Dog Harnness to my rather exuberant 16 month old Lurcher.

She immediately went from being a dog that was constantly pulling on her lead and making walking a chore rather than a pleasure, to one who walked sedately to heel, by my side.

She now walks nicely, stops at the kerb and waits the the traffic to clear and only gives a very subdued reaction to cats, dogs and foxes etc that she would before have lunged at.

Walking has become what it should be be once again, an enjoyable experience for us both.

 

Should you buy one?

If you do have a dog that makes walking a nightmare you should get one of these Non Pull Dog Harnesses as they do exactly what it says on the box!

They aren’t very expensive and the benefits far out-weigh even the most expensive models available.
